After her first lesson, my 13-year-old daughter said, “That was the best music lesson I’ve ever had.” And this is from a kid who’s been in band for three years and has taken private vocal lessons before—so that really says something!
She was a little nervous beforehand, mostly because she’d heard Lara sing and knew right away she was the real deal. But those nerves disappeared quickly. Lara was warm, encouraging, and completely focused on helping her grow. She helped her identify her vocal range and chose music that was both interesting and appropriately challenging. My daughter loved how Lara gave meaningful, constructive feedback while staying incredibly positive and supportive.
Lara is also wonderfully organized and professional. She followed up with me after the lesson to share her expectations for practice, and even set up a Google Drive for my daughter where she can easily access music and tools—no need to remember books or papers! She’s also been flexible and easy to work with when it comes to scheduling, which I really appreciate as a parent.
